This work consists of the final two pages from the German version of Arthur C. Clarke's novel '2001: A Space Odyssey', which was published shortly after the famous film was released. Each letter has been delicately scraped away, reducing the words to rough traces on the paper. All that remains is the word Sternenkind, or Starchild.
